FUN FREEze Facts
             FUN FREEze ! Tournament
                                           January 14-16, 2011
Host: Woodside Plantation Tennis Center (matches to be played at Woodside, Odell Weeks,
Houndslake and Fermata).  Singles on hard courts, Doubles on clay courts.

Events:   Men’s and Women’s Singles        2.5,  3.0,  3.5,  4.0+
       Men’s and Women’s Doubles        2.5,  3.0,  3.5,  4.0+

This tournament is not USTA sanctioned – it’s just for FUN. Players are eligible to enter flights
based on their 2010 NTRP rating, and may disregard any bump-up in rating that occurs for 2011
(however , early-start ratings do not count). The 4.5+ Singles division is open to both genders

Entries:        FREE for all players in the 2010 Fall Doubles League, Fall 1 Versus 1 League (not
Combo, or Super Senior), and all 2010 AATL Team Captains. Participants may play at the NTRP
they had just before the end-of-year ratings came out at the end of November (i.e., if you got
bumped from 3.5 to 4.0 at the end of 2010, you can play at 3.5). Adults and Seniors are all
lumped into the same NTRP level just like the Fall Season.  Registration ends January 5th.  

Play:        Will start on Friday, January 14 at 4:00PM.  Matches will be best of three sets with a
10-point match-breaker for the third set.  Participants playing in two events, must be available to
play throughout the weekend.  Flights with two or less players/doubles teams will be moved to
play in a higher/lower NTRP flight, as appropriate.  Everyone is guaranteed at least two
matches.  Singles will be on hard courts, Doubles on clay.  

Tournament Amenities:
  • Continuous keg at Woodside
  • Continental Breakfast Saturday and Sunday fruit at both Odell and Woodside
  • 7pm Dinner at Woodside on Saturday (Dress is Country Club Casual! No denim please!)
    Even if you don’t play in the tournament, you are welcome to attend the dinner.
  • Prizes:  Tournament winners get nothing except increased self-confidence and bragging
    rights - and more exercise than the 2-and-out losers who will join Eddie in making rounds
    to heckle remaining players.
